The Hotel Metropole is one of the most famous hotels in Venice and it stands in the centre of the city, overlooking the charming Saint Mark’s dock.
A love of art, antiques and beautiful things has always been a characteristic of the Beggiato family.
Notable collections belonging to the family stand proud in the showcases of the Hotel Metropole Venice, including collections of period fans, crucifixes, business cards and corkscrews.
The Hotel Metropole can be easily reached by the water transport systems and arriving by water taxi directly at the Metropole’s private landing stage is very tempting.
To reach Hotel Metropole: Situated on the Riva degli Schiavoni, a few metres from Saint Mark’s Square, the hotel is easily reachable from Venice’s various arrival points.
From the railway station and Piazzale Roma, take the ACTV vaporetto line 51 until the San Zaccaria stop, which is no more than 200 metres from the hotel. This takes about 20 minutes, and once you have got off, go along the Riva degli Schiavoni towards the Chiesa della Pietà.
From Venice Marco Polo airport, take the ALILAGUNA water shuttle which, leaving from the Airport dock, reaches l'Arsenale in about 45 minutes. The stop is about 300 metres from the Hotel Metropole and once you have got off, continue as above.
